Valencia F.C
The Spanish team, FC Valencia, has enjoyed success in international competitions. Twice they reached the final of the most important European football competition, but lost both times against Real Madrid (0:3) and Bayern Munich (1:1). Overall, they were 2000-2001 four times in the final of the European Champion Clubs' Cup; however, the most memorable game was the 5-4 penalty shoot-out defeat after a thrilling game that was chanted by fans across Spain and broadcast worldwide by media outlets such as CNN.
Valencia CF is one of the most successful clubs in Spain, having won many cups and two Champions Leagues. Their home stadium has been the Mestalla Stadium since 1923 with a capacity of 53,000 spectators, but soon they will be playing in their new multipurpose arena that can seat up to 75,000 people!
