The best TV streaming site, according to me, is Hulu. It has a wide selection of movies and TV shows to choose from, as well as great features like ad-free viewing and a handy on-demand library.
I generally look for sites that have a user-friendly design and offer premium subscription-based services. Sites that are easy to use and navigate are essential for me, as I want to be able to use the service without any problems. If the site looks good while I'm using it, that's a bonus!
That's not asking too much, right? Most of these TV streaming sites have millions of dollars to spare, so it's a requirement in my book that some of that big money goes towards providing users with a stellar and simple experience, on both the site and the mobile app. Oh, speaking of, there should be a mobile app. I should say, actually, that there should be multiple apps available. Cross-platform compatibility is another huge (and often overlooked) criterion that all the best TV streaming sites have in common. Not only should I be able to stream TV shows effortlessly on both Android and iOS devices but I also want an app for my smart TV, Roku, gaming console, etc. I shouldn't have to cast from my phone or plug my laptop into my TV with an HDMI cable (let's leave those in 2020!).
Many high-quality streaming sites offer a great selection of movies and series. If a site doesn't have good movies or series streaming, it might not be worth using. Some TV streaming services have hundreds of streaming TV shows and episodes on-demand. Some have a great variety of live TV streaming available. The best TV streaming sites have both great content and features. With so many choices, why settle for anything less than the perfect premium streaming subscription?
Last but not least, of course, is the matter of money. As you probably already know, since this is most likely not the first experience with streaming services (and if it is, congrats, and welcome to the wonderful world of streaming, my friend!), monthly charges can vary quite a bit from one TV streaming site to the next. Plus, a lot of them tend to offer 2 or 3 different price points and membership options.
For example, you can stream TV shows on Peacock for free (granted, they come with ads and what you can watch is very limited), but if you want to pay for full premium, ad-free access, you can do so for $9.99/month (the industry standard for most streaming memberships). HBO Max, on the other hand, will run you $15 a month, but I believe that is the one and only membership that they offer (the trade-off here, though, is that you get access to some of the best exclusive content available, as well as some of the most critically acclaimed TV series ever made).
Unfortunately, I don't think there is a simple or objective answer to the question, "what is the best TV streaming site?" What it really boils down to is what kind of TV series you prefer to watch, whether you like to stream live TV or stream on-demand, and how much wiggle room you have in your monthly budget. Therefore, the question is not "what is the best TV streaming site," but "what is the best TV streaming site for you."
It would be difficult to discuss the top streaming providers, though TV 2 Play, a streaming staple in Denmark, is not likely to be the first time you are hearing of it. It is renowned for its large selection of great content, excellent mobile apps, and reliably high-quality streaming.
TV 2 Play is the website where you can watch your favorite TV series from TV 2, TV 2 Charlie, and TV 2 Zulu at your leisure. It's easy to use and top-notch, so it might be the best streaming site for you if you're already cut the cord or don't want to pay for cable.
Design
The user interface on TV 2 Play is really easy to use. From the very first page you visit, you'll be able to find your favorite TV shows and watch live TV right away. Everything is laid out clearly and it's easy to find what you're looking for.
You can also find a search bar at the top of the page.
There is a sparse site menu bar at the top of the page, from which you can access the main sections of the site. Here, you'll find News, Sports, and Kids. Making it easy to switch between live TV and on-demand streams, you'll find a large banner promoting featured series and episodes at the top of the page, as well as a series of descending menu rows from there. These are separated by content type (popular near you, live TV channels, and various categories thereon), with a search bar at the top of the page.
The TV 2 Play website is aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. Its design is responsive and makes sense, which is important to me when selecting a good streaming site. If you are looking for an intuitive interface when choosing a streaming site, TV 2 Play will not disappoint.
Content and Features
So, as I was saying before, TV 2 Play provides both on-demand and live streaming. However, you can watch whichever you prefer. Basic packages include everything that is broadcast on TV 2, TV 2 Zulu, Fri News, and TV 2 Charlie. However, if you are willing to pay a little bit more, you can greatly expand what TV 2 Play has to offer. For sports fans, TV 2 Play might just be one of the best streaming sites around.
The TV 2 Play favorite + sports package has every aforementioned TV 2 channel, as well as TV 2 Sport and TV 2 Sport X. Sports coverage on TV 2 Play, I will admit, is not the most exciting of all the streaming sites on the market that stream live sports, but, hey, some sports streaming is better than no sports streaming, right? That being said, there is still plenty to be thrilled about with TV 2 Sport, including NBA basketball, tennis (ATP and WTA), handball, badminton, cycling, and football (all matches from La Liga and Serie A). Seeing as many streaming sites do not offer any live sports streaming at all, TV 2 Play should definitely be a top contender for anyone who loves watching sports.
Mobile and Desktop Experience
And on the Google Play Store, it averages 4.4 out of 5 stars. So if you're looking for a great way to watch TV2 Play programming on the go, these apps are definitely worth checking out.
I'm glad to report that TV 2 Play does have mobile apps available for both iOS and Android devices. Not only that, but they are excellent apps! Both offer smooth and user-friendly interfaces that make streaming live TV and binging your favorite shows on the go as easy and enjoyable as it should be. On the Apple App Store, for instance, the TV 2 Play app has an average user rating of 4.4 (out of 5). And on the Google Play Store, it averages 4.4 out of 5 stars. So if you're looking for a great way to watch TV2 Play programming on the go, these apps are definitely worth checking out.
TV 2 Play can also be viewed on Apple TVs, Android TVs, select Smart TVs, and Chromecast. TV 2 Play does a great job at being cross-platform compatible, so it's the best streaming site for those devices.
