Music server software like Subsonic often allows you to control the server. I know that some of you might say that Pandora and Spotify offer the same thing? Don't they? No, they just offer you the music, but not the control over your music server. With a music server, you'll be able to download music locally, store it, access it, and share it at any given time. This is a great way to keep your music collection organized and easily accessible.
Besides, your personal collection of music doesn't compare to the breadth of Spotify's library. Their movie soundtracks and classic mixtapes are missing a lot of the music you enjoy. I'm not trying to bash Spotify or modern music networks, it's just that they don't have everything. That's all.
What is Subsonic?
Subsonic is a great media streaming app that offers you a lot of features. It allows you to enjoy your music and movies anywhere you want, with high-quality transcoding. Converting any given format to mp3 is easy, and getting used to the platform is not hard either.
Subsonic is available in 28 languages and has 30 different themes. With its highly configurable user interface, you can even connect it with more than 25 apps - thanks to its compatibility! Not just that, Subsonic also provides you with a demo site where you can check all the functionalities before installing the software.
Why should you use Subsonic?

Subsonic is a media streaming service that lets you stream to your Sonos and Chromecast devices. You can download podcasts, thanks to the integrated podcast receiver. Design
The website for Subsonic sounds intriguing. Everything from the logo to the homepage banner and the body section look like they were glued together. The sections complements each other and makes the website stand out. The alternating white/black text with a white background looks clean.
Header
The header section on the website has a logo on the left and a selection of 8 options on the right. These include ?Home?, ?Premium?, ?Apps?, ?Sonos?, ?Demo?, ?Help?, ?API?, and ?Download?. I really love the header section blending into the hero section with a festival image in the background.
Hero Section
This headline reads ?Listen to your favorite shows offline?, which includes a CTA button to ?Download Shows!?. Finally, around the outside of the banner is some information about the author and their blog.
The hero section has a dynamic banner with a headline and two buttons. The headline on the banner reads "Subsonic - Your complete, personal media streamer." The two CTA buttons are "Download" and "Learn More." At the lower end, you can find a headline from an integrated banner in the body section. This headline reads "Listen to your favorite shows offline?" which includes a CTA button to "Download Shows!"
Body
The blue background signifies that the section is only for advanced users.
Below the banner, you have two sections: "Packed with features" and "Don't leave home without it." The first section has a CTA that says, "See all features." The second section has a CTA that says, "See all apps." When you scroll further down, you'll find a section called "How does it work?" Finally, there's a CTA banner with a blue background. This banner means that this section is only for advanced users.
Footer
I'm a bit disappointed with the website footer. It has only one navigation button, which is for support. You have to scroll all the way to the top to access the inner pages.
Inner Pages
There are many text-laden inner pages on the website, each of which contains important information about features, setting up the device, benefits, and other important topics. You can learn about these features, how to set it up, what its benefits are, and more on these pages. You can also download the software, learn about the apps available for it, and even test them out on one of the inner pages.

Suggestions I have for Subsonic
Subsonic is a great platform, but it has many issues that need to be fixed in order to make it more compatible and adjustable for streaming. Given its affordable price, I'm sure it will attract a lot of users once these glitches are fixed.
Conclusion
Don't subsonic, though it?s great for managing music and other media, seem like a lesser option these days? Sure, it works with 25 devices but that's nothing compared to the compatibility we have today. The premium version isn't as good because it lacks subtitle support and you can't adjust the quality settings. So even though it has some advantages, it also has disadvantages.
