RKC Waalwijk

RKC Waalwijk was formed in 1940 through the merger of HEC, WVB and Hercules. From then on it became known as Rooms Katholieke Combinatie (RKC). In 1986 they won their first championship success with the second Dutch league title! In the same year things went uphill with eighth place in the European premier class. Just ten years later, in 2000/01, it was even better: they finished seventh both times, but every time you look back at the history of this old football club, the aim is higher. In 2018 we were able to witness one last highlight before its closure: being promoted back to the Eredivisie after not playing for three decades.
