There is no denying that Netflix has revolutionized the film and television industry by changing how people consume media. Many people credit Netflix for the demise of Blockbuster, which happened largely because of their DVD rental service.
Netflix has quickly become known as one of the few sites that can create new subcultures. If you were to make a list of the sites that have had the greatest impact on modern society, Netflix would have to be included.
Netflix has become so popular that people now use it as an abbreviation for watching TV and movies. This is especially true since there was never a such thing as a "binge-worthy" show before Netflix came into the scene. People also use Netflix to talk about potential hookups - asking if someone wants to come over and watch TV or movies together.
One of the reasons that Netflix is so successful is because they always have a huge library of shows and movies available. For only $10 a month, you can watch thousands of hours of content on Netflix. In fact, there is so much content on Netflix that it can be hard to figure out what to watch.
How many times have you gone through this process of trying to figure out what to watch on Netflix? You sit down, turn on Netflix, and scroll through the options until you find something that looks intriguing. So you click on it, and then you start to watch the trailer. But before you know it, an hour or more has passed and you still haven't decided what to watch. In addition, you've only skimmed the surface of all the different movies and TV shows that Netflix has to offer. The hard truth is that it would have taken just as long to watch a movie as it did to try to find the right one to watch on Netflix!
This is a testament to the vastness and variety of Netflix - which, by the way, is always expanding, thanks to the fact that Netflix continues to release high-quality original content - but it can also be frustrating. I have often wished that I had a simple and easy resource to help reduce the amount of time it can take to browse Netflix. Sure, there are always recommendations from friends, but I, for one, always forget everything people recommend to me the very minute I sit down at a loss for what to watch. It's a weird phenomenon, but it's true.
There is a subreddit called "Netflixbestof" that, it turns out, can be really helpful. I have found that going to r/Netflixbestof when I'm not sure what to watch has been helpful every single time.
So if you love movies and TV shows, be sure to check out the best of Netflix subreddit. What is the "Netflix Best Of" subreddit? It's a community of fellow Netflix lovers who post their favorite binges of the moment and discuss some of the more popular titles as well. It's a great way to not only discover new shows or movies that you maybe did not even know were on Netflix, but a way to get in touch with likeminded people to discuss the shows you can't get enough of. So if you love movies and TV shows, be sure to check out the "Netflix Best Of" subreddit!

History

Netflix Best of was created shortly after the first r/Netflix subreddit went live. A subreddit called r/Netflixbestof was founded on April 12, 2010, and it quickly gained a large community of users. Today, Netflix Best Of has amassed 1.8 million members, with between a few hundred and a few thousand people actively online at any given time.

Content

As I mentioned before, if you're looking for the best of Netflix, you should check out Netflix Best. People here post about their favorite movies and TV shows, and they also have discussions about what they are currently binging and what they would recommend to others. Basically, this subreddit is the place to go if you're interested in anything Netflix-related.
You can post questions, recommendations, reviews, requests, or controversial opinions about shows and movies on Netflix in any subreddit. The discussions that take place in the comments sections can be entertaining even if you're not familiar with Reddit. You can also upvote or downvote posts based on their quality, or award people with gold and other digital accolades (should you be a premium member of Reddit) to incentivize people in r/Netflixbestof to raise the bar when it comes to the quality of their posts.
The Netflix Best Of community is a fun and civil place where Netflix lovers come to discuss their favorite shows and movies. One of my favorite things to do here is read unpopular opinion posts, such as "Ozark is so boring!". It's just fun for me to see how seriously people take these discussions; there is so much passion that people harbor for certain shows and movies. Trust me; there is seldom a dull moment on these posts.

Suggestions that I have for r/Netflixbestof

I noticed that the moderators of Netflix Best Of subreddit do not seem to be doing a lot to engage their community. Many subreddits have moderators who host weekly polls and pinned official discussions, maybe AMAs and other fun community activities, but the Netflix Best Of subreddit does not seem to have much in the way of this kind of engagement. This is baffling to me, too, especially since a Best Of subreddit seems to naturally lend itself to polls and fun little games like Survivor (where people vote on which parts of a series to eliminate week after week).
Another thing that I would suggest for r/Netflixbestof is to set up a flair system. Users have taken to doing so on their own, but if the different types of posts could be tagged, it would make browsing the community so much easier. Furthermore, the moderators have not listed the rules of the subreddit anywhere, which I find a bit strange. Maybe it's just me, but I at least want to know what the etiquette of a certain subreddit is before posting to it. Adding some basic guidelines, I think, certainly couldn't hurt this subreddit's cause.
Although Netflix Best Of is not customized at all, there are still plenty of subreddits out there that put time and effort into how they present themselves. The moderators of Netflix Best Of seem to be doing just enough to keep things running, without putting much thought into it.
But, hey, the community self-moderates to create a great subreddit for finding new shows and movies, discussing Netflix content, and requesting recommendations based on descriptions of what you are looking for.

Conclusion

If you're not a Reddit snob, r/Netflixbestof is one of the best resources for quickly and easily finding your new favorite show or movie on Netflix. It's also a great place to get involved in fascinating debates and discussions about the shows and movies you know and love. Or, if you want to help a fellow member out, you can recommend something. Whatever the case may be, using r/Netflixbestof will make the most of Netflix for you.
