SSC Naples
Napoli football club has been a flagship for years and it's still going strong! You have already achieved so much in terms of success. In part 1 we learned more about the history of calcio (a type of football) and what it means when someone says: "They play like NAPOLI" Now we come to more interesting facts: Where is this team at home? What legendary moments from Naples' prime can be seen at the San Paolo Stadium?!
In Italy, the SSC Napoli team is often referred to as "Azzurri" or Partenopei (in reference to an ancient city in Magna Graecia that became Naples).
The club's most successful period was in the late 1980s with Diego Armando Maradona. There they won two titles (1987 and 1990) and a UEFA Cup final against VfB Stuttgart. In this passage about SSC Napoli it says that "they had their only championship", but I know for sure that there was at least one more!
