gogoanimes.ai
GogoAnime is an anime streaming website that strives to provide content to anime fans and create a community for them to share their thoughts. The website provides a space where fans can post comments on the videos themselves, and is dedicated to fostering a love for anime.
There is not much information about the website's history. The about us section primarily tells viewers the goal of the site, which is anime streaming for everyone. GogoAnime is on social media but has a low profile. The Facebook page does not have many posts, and the Twitter page is hard to track down and is empty of posts.
Website Design
I'm impressed with GogoAnime's website design. There are a lot of advertisements, but the site has a cutesy vibe and the colors are in night mode.
There are chibi characters hidden around the website. I noticed that their social media links were broken.
The logo is memorable and stylish. It's a stylized orange text of Gogo Anime TV in night mode. The orange color compliments the night mode theme well, and it pops against the dark background, making reading text and easier.
The website's menus are well designed. It is easy to navigate on the page. The website's organization is perfect. There are multiple categories that have sub-selections.
Content
GogoAnime is a streaming service that specializes in anime. There are a lot of shows to watch on the service, and the organization is very helpful. The main menu has Home, Anime List, New Season, Movies, and Popular sections.
The home page features recent releases in dubbed anime. In the right column, there are advertisements. Down the page on the right, there are Ongoing Series subsections and Genre subsections. In the middle of the home page are the Recently Added Series.
Shows that are in the shoujo genre include Naruto, Ouran High School Host Club, and Aishiteruze Baby. Typically these series follow a story of young adults as they navigate their way through life. Shows in the slice of life genre tend to be shorter and less action-packed with a focus on everyday life experiences. Titles available in this category include K-On! and Watashi No Monogatari.
Some genres worth mentioning are the popular shonen, shoujo, and slice of life. There are countless series on the website, some titles available in the shonen genre include Fairy Tail, Pokemon, and Boku no Hero Academia. There are a couple of episodes missing here and there, but most series are complete. Shows that are in the shoujo genre include Naruto, Ouran High School Host Club, and Aishiteruze Baby. Typically these series follow a story of young adults as they navigate their way through life experiences. Shows in the slice of life genre tend to be shorter and have a focus on everyday life experiences rather than dramatic events. Titles available in this category include K-On! and Watashi No Monogatari
The Anime List on the main menu includes every show on GogoAnime. The shows are organized in alphabetical order with approximately 140 titles per page. It is easy to choose a great show with such a large library.
The website hosts both dubbed and subtitled versions of popular anime. There are a lot of subtitled shows on the website, but they feature recently released dubs on the home page, so they are easy to find. Both versions of the videos and audio quality are wonderful, either way.
Desktop & Mobile Accessibility
The desktop version of GogoAnime is really good. There are a few hiccups that aren't great. Overall, the stream qualities are amazing. The load times are good. Audio is also impeccable. The layout of the website is easy to look at for multiple hours at a time. The night mode color scheme gives the website a youthful and hip aesthetic.
The mobile browser version of this website is a scaled-down version. It's almost exactly the same. The font is slightly too small, but it's not unbearable. The ads are slightly more overwhelming on the phone. I would suggest using the desktop browser, if at all possible. Unfortunately, there are no mobile applications for GogoAnime.
Positives
There are a lot of positive things about GogoAnime. One of the best is that the website uses an organization that is great. It is easy to find specific shows and browse for new ones, as well. The main menu and other categories are easy to see in the layout of the website.
The search function on GogoAnime works well and is easy to find. Not only does it bring up the title you search for, but it also brings up titles with related keywords.
GogoAnime hosts a variety of subtitled and dubbed versions of shows. There are usually more subtitles, but there are plenty of dubs for popular shows. The website highlights the dubs prominently, and there is also a sub-genre of dubbed to filter all English shows. There is also a good selection of movies.
GogoAnime is one of the best streaming sites I've ever used. The video quality is amazing, right out of the gate. The audio quality is also very good - no interruptions from ads, which is great. The speed of the load time is spectacular, and there are few delays in between streams. This site needs next to no time to buffer or load - it's really impressive.
The comment feature on the videos is a great way to connect with fans. The option to participate in conversations with like-minded fans is a cool feature. Discussing episodes on the specific episode is also a great way to avoid spoilers.
I think the website's overall aesthetic is great. The color scheme and layout are both well-done, and the little chibi anime characters are my favorite part of it.
Negatives
Although there are many positives about GogoAnime, there are also a few drawbacks. One of the more noticeable problems is pop-ups. They are present on the website in abundance, and can be quite persistent. When you click the search bar, home page, or any menu function, it can open a new window entirely. There may be an app of some sort to block the ads. However, measures like this should not be necessary to navigate the website.
The About Us section of the site is not well written and only provides a couple sentences. I wanted to find more information about the company so I tried social media. GogoAnime has media links in the top right-hand corner of their website. I assumed they would work and tried to track them down on Facebook and Twitter, but the links were dead. I tracked them on their social media by searching them, but found nothing of interest. Both of their profiles were empty.
Despite the lack of community, I thought GogoAnime was a nice site. They had a lot of good anime recommendations and their design was user-friendly. I didn't like that there wasn't much communication aside from comments, but overall I thought it was a decent site.
Improvements Needed
There are a few things GogoAnime could improve to better serve their viewers. One great way to improve communication would be developing an app to watch the streams on mobile devices. Additionally, it could make interacting with GogoAnime easier on mobile devices.
This website's pop-ups are really irritating. Cut back on them a bit and the website would be much more pleasant to use. The ads in the sidebars are actually not that bad, but the popups are a major annoyance.
I think the community features could be better. A forum would be a good solution for contact with comments on episodes. This feature would also attract extra traffic to the website.
Summary
Overall, I think GogoAnime is a decent website. It offers a large library of popular and obscure titles in multiple languages. There are over 1,000 titles available. The navigation and layout are nice. The vibe of the site is youthful and it gives off a hip appearance.
Personally, I don't think the mobile browser version is great. The community side of the website could use some improvement, too.
