Frankly, I don't think Filmy Hit's website design is very good. Although it might not be the worst design I have ever seen, I'm afraid that I have to say that it is quintessentially not good. It has a lot of missing key features that make for an easy and intuitive free movie streaming site user experience, and it looks sloppy and unprofessional.
There is no site menu bar on this site, which makes it difficult to navigate. In addition, some of the most poorly designed free movie streaming sites I have seen offer a convenient and concise way to navigate the site. This usually sits at the top of every page on the site, acting as a sort of road map or portal to all of the important pages and sections. However, Filmy Hit offers nothing at the top of the home page but an unlabeled gallery of movie thumbnails.
Let's talk about these thumbnails, too, because they look terrible. They are all stretched too wide, oddly enough, resulting in a gallery of grainy and extremely low-quality images. Site design 101 would tell you that presentation is everything on a website. This site, though, looks like it was designed by amateurs who barely know enough about coding to put together a list.
Is there anything akin to a site menu bar, you will find it below the first page of movies on Filmy Hit? It is a text list of categories from which to choose. I want to say that it is good that, at the very least, Filmy Hit offers some way to browse by genre or category. And I guess, technically, it is. The execution of this, though, is pitiful. I am very disappointed in the look and user experience offered by Filmy Hit- especially when there are hundreds of other free movie streaming sites that look exponentially better and are infinitely easier to use.
There are lots of missing links and blurred or non-existent content on Filmy Hit. Plus, it looks very unprofessional and amateurish.
Content and Features
I was surprised to discover that Filmy Hit does offer some additional user features. For instance, you can rate movies (out of 5 stars), as well as share them directly to WhatsApp and Facebook.
I was really starting to look up to Filmy Hit, until I came across its biggest flaw. There's no way to actually stream free movies on the site directly; this reduces the site's credibility significantly. If you're trying to market yourself as a free movie streaming site, it makes sense that you would provide this feature, right? Apparently, Filmy Hit does not believe this is necessary.
Instead of embedded free movie streaming, Filmy Hit offers links to unknown 3rd party sites and download links. Do I trust Filmy Hit enough to see what happens to my computer if I download a file from it? No way!
Mobile and Desktop Experience
Interestingly, the mobile site design of Filmy Hit is better than the desktop experience. I mean, it's still not anything to write home about, but it's slightly easier to use. So, perhaps this will be a site to keep in mind, after all - if you prefer to stream free movies from your phone or tablet.
It seems strange that Filmy Hit, a site with such a large and active user base, does not have a mobile app. This is unusual for free movie streaming sites, especially free movie streaming sites of this caliber.
Suggestions that I have for Filmy Hit
Honestly, I think Filmy Hit should scrap the site altogether and keep the domain. I would recommend that Filmy Hit outsource more professional (read: better, more skilled) site designers, start embedding streams to the site itself, and start from scratch.
