Recent years have seen a rise in the premium streaming services' share in the global market. With each passing year, the services have gained more and more users.
In this review, we are discussing the leading sports streaming site- CricFree. It is the penultimate streaming platform for sports lovers from around the world.
What is CricFree?
CricFree is a trusted brand in the world of free sports streaming. It provides viewers access to their favorite sports through links from across the web, saving them at least $30/mo in premium streaming costs.
Why should you stream on CricFree?
To access any live stream on CricFree, you need to create an account. Almost all of the major free streaming portals with closed communities have shorter life spans as compared to free-to-stream websites. However, you don't have to pay anything to become a member on this streaming site. It just requires you to sign in, so you can make the most of features such as in-game chatbox and donations.
Massive audience
Though there are no official numbers that I can provide, after researching for a while, I can suggest that CricFree is generating traffic in excess of 100,000 users per month. And that's no surprise as the platform provides the best links to its viewers. Quite recently, CricFree provided good quality links to Fury vs Wilder 2 which saw the streaming site attract thousands of visitors.
Wide-range of content
Don't let the first half of the name fool you, Cricket. CricFree is not a pure cricket-related website. It caters to a diverse range of sports and you can find all popular sports leagues and tournaments on this platform. You don't need to subscribe to this channel or pay any money. Quite recently, they have started a donation section to cover up the server cost, apart from that they share links to wide range of content without charging any fee.
Advert-free initiative
CricFree is experiencing difficulty handling the growing number of users. They can't afford server expenses with only display and pop-up ads alone. Thus, quite recently, they have started a campaign asking users to donate to the platform so that it can make it ad-free. This is a great initiative for this platform as it will get financial support and in turn provide quality service with an emphasis on user experience.
Additional channels
As part of their new initiative, CricFree plans on increasing the number of channels so it is no longer restricted to sports content. It'll likely turn into a full-fledged IPTV website if it receives enough financial backing from its users. And given the cult following that it has, I'm quite sure that it will be successful in achieving its goal. If it is able to add more channels such as premium movies and tv shows, its user base will grow dramatically.
How to access CricFree?
Accessing CricFree is easy. You can find the term "CricFree" in your search engine or use the link below: CricFree, if you want to access the website at your own convenience.
Design
Check out CrifFree?s simple and straightforward design. The menus and categories are easy to navigate, and the logo looks shambolic. However, the channel icons look off, and the blue and light grey color combination looks decent. Let's take a look at different sections of this website in detail.
Header
This website has a header section with a logo and 12 different icons indicating a particular sport. Here, you'll find different sports such as Football, Cricket, Basketball, Baseball, Rugby, Darts, Boxing, Tennis, American Football, Hockey, Motorsport, and Golf.
Hero Section
The sports categories and icons can also be considered as part of the hero section, but since we've already considered them to be a part of the header section, let's move forward.
There are different football leagues under the icons, such as the English Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, English Championship, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.
There are a lot of top sports channels to choose from under these competitions, such as Sky Sport, BT Sport, Euro Sport, ESPN, SportsNet, Fox TSN, beIN Sports among others.
Body
As you scroll further down the page, you'll get a horizontal list of fixtures that aren't segregated. There are 25 entries on each page and you can also search for the fixture you want to watch directly. Towards the right, you can find the "Donate" section. There are numerous payment method icons right under the Donate tab. Upon scrolling further, you'll still find the continued list of fixtures with chat rooms rules on the right. If you want to be a member of CricFree, you need to read those rules first.
Footer
There is no navigation option in the footer section of CricFree. It just has a simple text which doesn't seem to be updated as it still reads 2019.
Inner Pages
If you click on any option on the homepage, you'll be directed to the inner pages. I wanted to watch football and didn't have anything specific in mind. Thus, upon clicking the football icon, I entered the inner page where I saw a list of fixtures with Date, Title and Feed Information. Each fixture had two feed options - Watch and HD. Much to my pleasure, I found that there were two good matches on that day - PSG vs Bordeaux in Ligue 1 and Atletico vs Villareal in Liga BBVA.
Content
With content being CricFree's stronghold, it's no surprise that someone who hasn't heard of the website would think that the only content available on the site would be cricket-related. However, this couldn't be further from the truth; CricFree is a comprehensive sports streaming platform that has a lot of great links for viewers to explore. From the homepage, we can see that there is a lot of content depth here, with everything from live streams to highlights and more available. So whether you're a cricket fan or just looking for some great sports content, CricFree is definitely worth checking out!
As for sports, you have access to Football, Cricket, Basketball, Baseball, Rugby, Darts, Boxing, Tennis, American Football, Hockey, Motorsport, and Golf. As for channels there are Sky Sport?, BT Sport?, Euro Sport?, ESPN?, SportsNet?, Fox TSN?, and beIN Sports.
If the donation thing works out, you can expect content from CricFree to hit the shore soon.
Desktop/Mobile experience
I streamed CricFree from my HP laptop and my Google Pixel 3a. Browsing on the website and navigating across different menus was fairly simple. There were a few misclicks and pop-ups here and there, but I was able to deal with it. Remember, if you're a first-time streamer, you'll initially find those pop-ups irritating. Also, as a new user, it's hard to trust a free streaming site, so it's okay if you're reluctant to make an account. I am too, but based upon my experience, I'd advise you to go ahead and do itâyou'll get access to quality content.
Suggestions I have for CricFree
I appreciate the efforts taken by the developers to make the platform ad-free. I'm more than okay with donating a dollar or two if they can keep up the great quality. I just hope that all of the users join hands with small donations so they can afford the server cost and keep the website running.
Conclusion
I often watch football on CricFree, but there are many other sports you can enjoy. I'd give this website a thumbs up and I can't wait for the time they go ad-free so streaming will be much better and safer.
