You can also watch streaming content offline, making it a great choice for on-the-go watching. If you are a Crunchyroll subscriber, AnimeLab is not appealing to you because everything that is there on this platform is available on Crunchyroll as well. However, AnimeLab's extensive library comes with one advantage over Crunchyroll – the excellent user interface with a impressive search function. This makes browsing and watching your favorite content seamless. You can also watch streaming content offline which makes it a great choice for on-the-go watching.

What is AnimeLab?

An Australian-based company, Madman Entertainment, started AnimeLab in 2014. AnimeLab has grown quickly and now has over 260 series. The company's success is evident through their large following which reached 500,000 subscribers recently.

Why should you stream on AnimeLab?

AnimeLab is a website that airs anime content. It has a great user interface and several other benefits. We'll discuss the key features of this service to better understand the platform.

Amazing website design

Overall, I really like it! My first impression of the website is that it looks quite different. It reminds me of Quvor? except that this one?s a shade darker. The purple background with colorful banners looks amazing. The white text with flat icons and keywords with white borderline really give it a modern touch. Yellow CTA buttons and keywords with yellow border add a distinctive touch to the website. Overall, I really like it!

Great user interface

I think an interface is really important when it comes to improving the user experience on a website. Animelab has a great interface, which makes navigating and browsing across the website very easy. Plus, they don't have ads, which makes it an even better experience!

Free content

AnimeLab is a service where you can access the premium content for free, but you only have the option to watch it in 480p quality. However, this is still a massive upgrade from 20-second previews. It's a great initiative that allows people to watch anime regardless of their interest in paying for it. In third-world countries, accessing AnimeLab using a VPN is quite popular.

Affordable pricing

If you're an anime lover, you won't see AnimeLab's price as a stumbling block. For nearly $7-8/month, you get access to premium content. You can watch anything on the network and in the best possible quality. You don't have to settle for 480p and you can watch content in 1080p. Given that you have access to thousands of episodes at just $7-8/month, it comes off as extremely affordable.

Quality streaming service

Streaming quality on premium anime networks like Crunchyroll is not dependent on the quality of your internet connection. Whether you have a fast or slow internet connection, you'll be able to stream high-quality anime without any lag. The quality of the stream depends on your internet speed. If you have a 32MBPS internet speed, which is quite ordinary, you'll be able to stream 1080p quality without any problems.

How to access AnimeLab?

You can access AnimeLab by searching for the term "AnimeLab" and clicking on the first result that you find in the search engine. Make sure that it isn't a competitor's advert and pay attention to the URL. Alternatively, if you want to access the website directly, you can use the following link: AnimeLab. Before you access AnimeLab, know that the website is currently unavailable in Asian countries such as India and Pakistan. Thus, if you want to access the website from those regions make use of a VPN to do so.

Design

Design is where AnimeLab really stands out. The unique green and purple color combination makes the website look different and attractive. In addition, the well-designed banners amplify the homepage, followed by horizontal scrolling thumbnails. There's a lot of good stuff going on throughout the website, so let's check out each section one by one!

Header

For example, to see the Recently Added page, click on the Recent tab. As for the Simulcasts and genre pages, you can find shows grouped by category such as Movies and TV Shows. Clicking on any of these will take you to a specific page with information about that show. Lastly, under categories you'll find a static option called Movies which has all of the movies listed.

Hero Section

AnimeLab's hero section is the competition's wet dream. Every banner on the homepage is stylish and eye-catching, with specific characters designed to make each banner better. There's the title on the left followed by a CTA button that reads "Start Watching Now." There are ten banners in the hero section.

Body

You can easily change the settings to watch shows in the language you prefer. The amazing standards set by the hero section are maintained by the supporting sections. First, you'll find the "Simulcasts" section which has shows such as "ID: Invaded?", "Boruto?", "One Piece?", and "Magia Record?". There are more than five sections in the body of this website. These include "Trending Now?", "Popular Shows?", "Freshly Added Shows?", "Fresh Dubs?", and "Fresh Subs?". Each of these sections has a slider button towards the right. You can easily change the settings to watch shows in the language you prefer.

Footer

The footer section of the website is quite plain and effective. There are eleven options such as browsing, devices, plans, buying a gift card, redeeming a gift card, advertising, privacy policy, terms and conditions, blog, jobs, and help. Under these handy navigation options you have social media icons of platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

Inner Pages

The Animelab inner pages are designed to follow the same design as the homepage. The purple color predominates and there is a vertical thumbnail on the left followed by details such as Title, Date, Episodes, Language, and Synopsis on the right. The keywords you see under the synopsis is how Animelab is able to sort content. Each inner page has a simple yet attractive design that manages to keep you engaged.

Content

With AnimeLab hoping to extend their content catalog by 300+ anime series this year, you can be assured that there is plenty of content available on the website. Sure, it's nothing compared to Crunchyroll's massive content catalog which sits at over 800+ series. But we have to give AnimeLab its due credit as it is relatively new and only caters to the Australian audience at present.
There are over 25 different anime series that you can watch, each with its own unique genre. Some of these include Yuri, Moe, Reverse Harem, Bishoujo, Romance, Action, and even LGBT relationships. Although I'm not a big fan of the dubbed versions, you can still find plenty of content in English if you don't fancy the subbed version.
Some of the popular titles available on the streaming platform include shows like "One Punch Man", "Naruto Shippuden", "Attack on Titan", "Dragon Ball Z", "Death Note", "Blue Exorcist", "One Piece", "Boruto", "Atom the Beginning?", and "Vatican Miracle Examiner". Just from the stellar names, you can estimate the content depth of this streaming platform. Some of the shows that I would recommend you watch include shows like Robotics, Ping Pong, and Rideback.

Desktop/Mobile experience

This will allow you to watch AnimeLab content from anywhere in the world. AnimeLab is compatible with a wide range of platforms. This means that you can enjoy the service on any of the aforementioned devices. Though AnimeLab is just available in New Zealand and Australia, using a VPN will allow you to watch AnimeLab content from anywhere in the world.

Plans & Pricing

As you may have learned before, AnimeLab's free membership comes with some limitations. You can sign-up for free and watch all the content in 480p resolution. If you're watching the quality on your mobile phone, I don't think you have much to complain about. On the contrary, if you want the premium HD experience, you can do so for just $7/month, which according to me is pretty cheap.

Suggestions I have for AnimeLab

I like the 480p resolution as part of the free membership. But I'm not sure why the pre-roll ads? This approach might reverse engineer the free members. Instead of luring them towards the network, they might want to opt-out of the frustration. I?d suggest the developers provide a single episode at 1080p with no ads. That would serve the purpose without rubbing users the wrong way.

Conclusion

I'm paying $7/month for the simulcast. I'm impressed with the speed at which the episodes are updated on the website. If you're an anime lover looking for a seamless anime viewing experience, you seriously need to consider subscribing to AnimeLab.
